President Buhari has sacked the executive secretary of FRC, Jim Obazee whose actions lead to the stepping down of RCCG leader Pastor Enoch Adeboye as the G.O.
48 hours after the Redeem Christian Church of God leader, Pastor E.A Adeboye stepped down as the general overseer, it is confirmed that, the executive secretary of Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, Mr Jim Obazee has been sacked by President Buhari..
In a statement by Garba Shehu, a spokesman, announced the sack of the FRC boss Mr Jim Obazee and to be replaced by Daniel Asapokhi while a new board, headed by Adedotun Sulaiman was also constituted for the agency..
According to the rule which was established by the Financial Reporting Council,Nigeria, Act No 6, 2011 and the Governance code of 2016 which was put in place by the agency for the Act to be implemented, comprises of three sectors, which are, the private, public, and the non-profitable organizations.
The part of the law that affects the church, states that, "a founder or leader should not take too many responsibilities in the organisation or have an indefinite term in the running of the organisation, and is expected not to stay in office for more than 20 years".
In regards to the law implemented by the agency, the famous leader of Redeem Christian Church of God decided to step down and hand over the mount of leadership to pastor J.O Obayemi seeing the former second in command as the new General Overseer.
What lead to the sack of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) boss, Mr Jim Obazee is yet unknown.
