A newly born baby was found dead in a gutter in Ikotun bus-stop Lagos

A baby who is barely a month old was found dead in a gutter at Ikotun bus-stop close to BRT at about 5pm Friday 14th October 2016..

It was gathered that a careless mother who do not want a child gave birth a harmless baby and decided to dump the baby in such a place..

According to our source who pleaded anonymity said" I was on my way home when i saw large crowd gathering at Ikotun bus-stop close to BRT, out of curiosity, i went there to check whats going on, reaching there, a lifeless child was lying in a gutter without a cloth on". 

The baby could have been dumped over the night because from the picture below, the lifeless baby girl is already swelling.

Lots of insults and abuses have been rendered on the mother of the child for such an evil act. Some concerned people said, " Many are in search of a child for years while some have paid millions of naira on IVF(In Vitro Fertilization) in search of babies but to no avail".

EDUCATION: SENATES EXTENDS JAMB RESULT VALIDATION TO 3 YEARS

The validity period of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) results have been extended to 3 three years

A statement was released on a bill for an Act to amend the law establishing Joint Admission and Matriculation Board,was passed into law today Thursday 13th of October 2016 by the senate.

The Statement said " The Nigerian Senate just passed the amendment to Joint Admission and Matriculation Board's Act #JAMBBill SB. 245 into law. In the amendment passed, the senate strengthened the Board to allow the results of students in the annual examination be valid beyond that year.

Chairman of the senate Committee on Tertiary and TETFund, Senator Jibrin Barau while presenting the report of his committee on the #JAMBBill explained that the amendments will further strengthen the Admission Board in it responsibilities.

Senate president Bukola Saraki, in appreciating his distinguished colleagues for their work towards the passage of the bill commented that the new amendments will indeed bring financial relief to students as well as parents and reduce bottlenecks and corruption in the admission process."

The new law now extends the validation of results obtained by candidates seeking admission into higher institutions from initial one year to three years

The police officer reportedly got angry, pulled out his gun and shot Friday (deceased) point blank on his forehead and he died at the spot.

TWO PEOPLE KILLED IN DELTA STATE BY RECKLESS POLICE DRIVER

A reckless police driver in Asaba Ibusa Ogwashi Uku expressway in Oshimili area of delta state,killed two people in attempt to stop a commercial bus.

A police driver has killed two people in Delta state while chasing an overloaded commercial bus on Thursday afternoon 6th October..
It was gathered that the driver of the commercial bus died on the spot alongside a male suspect whom the police were taking to Asaba state command.Also a female suspect lost consciousness and rushed to hospital due to the incident..

According to an eye witness Mr Uche said, the police van which was inscribed with anti crime patrol, Kkwale division was coming from Ogwashi Uku area at about 2pm when the incident occurred..
Uche also said that, upon sighing the the commercial bus which was overloaded,the police van started chasing it,the bus was heading towards the Ughelli area when the police with three police men and two suspect on board the van crashed into it for a force stop..

A relative to the deceased said, "The accident was a flagrant abuse of power by those who are supposed to enforce the law.The police veered off their lane to stop a bus on motion from a slope, which resulted in the bus exploding"

"The incident must be thoroughly investigated.The three police men must be fished out to pay for their crime.They killed my brother for no just cause.They watched my brother burn without doing anything".

One of the passenger named Chinedu Ojimadu including the bus driver was burnt to death in the presence of the sympathizers and police officers as a result of the incident, while one passenger survived.

Celestina Kalu, the spokesperson of delta state police command also confirmed the incident but couldn't tell if there was casualty.
